Ireland's leading security solutions business, G4S Secure Solutions Ireland (G4S), has further strengthened its position in the Irish security sector by acquiring certain assets of Alarm Monitoring Services Ltd (AMS) also trading as "I-WATCH". The acquisition will allow G4S to continue to develop its business across the Irish CCTV, patrol and response and keyholding sectors and meet the growing demand for security among Irish businesses and organisations.

AMS, which is owned by its founder Tim O'Shea, has 30 employees based at its monitoring centre in Citywest, Dublin from where it manages around 15,000 end users. As a result of the acquisition G4S Ireland's alarm response unit based in Killester, Dublin will move to the AMS premises in Citywest, where a state of the art alarm monitoring centre will be expanded in 2012.
